Bio
My specialty is studio portrait and model photography using professional lighting. I work with you in a cooperative effort to explore your individuality and define your unique presence as captured in the still image. The goal: to realize your vision. The output is a collection of color and/or black and white images for your portfolio, comp card, web presence or personal photos.
I also cover events (non-profit, parties and small weddings) and architectural photography, interiors and exteriors. In addition, I have done publicity shots for theater groups, musicians and vocalists. When not in the studio, I enjoy travel, landscape, still life and photographing in and around New York City.
New to photography? Just purchased or received a new camera? I offer private lessons in the technical and creative aspects of photography including software (Photoshop and Lightroom).
I shoot with Nikon, Canon and Fuji DSLRs. I am also proficient in retouching, photo enhancement, and photo restoration in the digital darkroom (Photoshop, Lightroom, Portrait Professional).
Session Details
Rates
My rates for a session vary depending on the nature and estimated duration of the shoot. Inquire about pricing for a basic model portfolio (1.5 hrs.), for an extended model portfolio (3 hrs.), or for events and other on-location shoots.
Turnaround time for final images on most projects is 24-48 hours. Images will be uploaded to a password protected web site.
Some basic retouching is included with the fee. Prints are not included, however, I will suggest vendors where you can have high quality prints made from your digital files.
I also shoot occasionally on a TFP/TFDI basis with a signed, limited use model release. (Sample release)
Location and Hours
All studio work is done in Brooklyn Heights, a short walk from 2, 3, 4, 5, R trains. Location shooting is also available. Most sessions are scheduled during the week Monday - Thursday, 11:00 AM - 7:30 PM and Friday, 11:00 AM - 2:30 PM. I can occasionally accommodate weekend requests.
